Some results on the effects of boundary geometry in rarefied gases

Abstract:  

We will discuss the singular behavior of a rarefied gas near the boundary. We here focus on the time-independent behavior of the gas and study the possible singularities due to the effect of the boundary geometry. This talk is based on a joint work with Tatsuya Yoshida, Takashi Noguchi, Satoshi Taguchi, and Masanari Hattori.
