Nonlinear boundary layers for discrete kinetic models

Abstract:  

In this talk we present some results for the nonlinear half-space problem of condensation and evaporation for the discrete Boltzmann equation for single species, multicomponent mixtures, polyatomic molecules, chemical reactions, fermions, and bosons, also (in a particular case) for excitations in interaction with a Bose-Einstein condensate. Our results originate in results for the linearized half-space problem of condensation and evaporation for the discrete Boltzmann equation obtained in collaboration with A. V. Bobylev.
